    Looking Back Against the Cowboys:

The fans of the Giants understood why Jerry Reese put as much attention in the defenses during the offseason as he did. The defense forced three turnovers and held the Cowboys to seven points. Giants Head Coach Ben McAdoo was happy with the team’s effort: “What we did well, tremendous effort by the defense all night. We stayed in the moment the entire 60 minutes of the ball game. I really thought we put our foot down in the second half of the game. We tackled fundamentally sound. We held the offense to seven points, minimized explosive gains and forced turnovers. What we need to work on, we need to keep them under 100 yards rushing and keep them out of field goal range at the end of the first half.”

Big Blue Report: London Awaits!!!

Giants fans in attendance at Metlife Stadium this past Sunday gave a collective sigh of relief as Big Blue snapped a three game loosing streak against the Baltimore Ravens 27-23.

The lethal combination of Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. became too much for the Ravens defense as the duo connected on 66 yard touchdown late in the 4th quarter to put the game away.

The attention quickly shifted off the field as the antics of Beckham taking his helmet off almost cost the Giants the game. Odell received un-sportsmen like penalty that put Baltimore in great field position.

Coach McAdoo spoke to Odell about his antics after the touchdown. “He came up to me right after. We had a discussion about it. Can’t have it. He knows that. He went out and wanted to fire up the kickoff coverage and the defense. He knows we can’t have it.”

McAdoo also broke down the teams play during the conference call with reporters on Monday. He started with the Defense. “I thought what we did well, we showed great fight early in the ballgame when we were struggling as a team. I thought the goal line stand after the big play was gritty. A lot of guys showed up giving extra effort. We held them to a field goal after a second half sudden change, which was huge in the game.

McAdoo Continued “I thought we focused on what we can control at the end of the game with the penalties. We kept playing football, not worried about how the game was being called. Third down was improved. We were 28 percent there. What we need to work on moving forward, we need to shore up the run defense. We have to look the ball into the tuck when the ball is in the air. Had a chance to come up with some turnovers.”

When it came to the Offense, McAdoo was very happy with the progress of the offense... “We overcame a slow start. We were 3-for-3 on fourth down, which was huge in the ballgame. I thought we played with some good tempo once we got started and our pass protection improved. What we need to work on, we had two turnovers and then an additional one at the end of the half trying to get the ball out of bounds. We need to get the run game going."

The team travels to London to play the Rams Sunday morning at 9:30am EST.

Manning Up:

It seems like after two tough weeks in Minnesota and Green Bay, Manning responded with a monster game by connecting on 32 of 46 passes for 403 yards and two touchdowns. A far cry from the struggles from weeks passed.

Eli also made some history against the Ravens. He connected with Roger Lewis Jr. in the second quarter for his 300th touchdown pass of his career. Typical Eli Manning down played the accomplishment and made this about the team. “You know, my focus is really just on this season – on this team; and going out there and getting a win. When I’m done playing, I’ll look back and see where I stand – maybe or maybe not; I don’t know. My focus is on getting this win and getting this season back on track and getting to where we want to get this year.”

Odell Watch 2016:

The lightning bolt that is Odell Beckham Jr took a turn to comedy as his antics on the sideline were bought up more than the Hip Pointer he suffered in the 2nd quarter. Beckham let his action on the field speak volumes as Eli targeted Odell 10 times and connected on eight of them for 222 yards and two touchdowns.

After the game Beckham joked about his relationship with kicking net that has been the focus of his antics over the last few weeks. “Well, our relationship is growing. I thought we might as well make it serious. I proposed and she said yes. Me and the net are going to get married sometime soon. Hopefully it all works out. I’m 23, so I don’t know much about marriage. She seems like a pretty nice gal.”

When asked about the hip pointer, Odell talked about how much pain he was in. “Whatever it is, it was bad. It was bothering me all game. Even on the last drive, I told Roger Lewis, get your mind right because you’re going to score the game-winning touchdown. I sat there and just prayed. I prayed for strength. He placed his hand of anointment on me and He did. I was able to go out there, get enough adrenaline to make a play and put us in position. I’m very thankful that the penalty on that didn’t cost us in the end.”

Salsa Talk:

Randy Zellea of Back Sports Page caught up with Victor Cruz right after the game.

On Making Key Plays Because He Is Healthy:

I do feel like I have my steps under me. I feel I can routes of the playbook now and I just want continue to build on that. I made some crucial plays on fourth down and I just want to continue my good play.

If Eli Has Full Trust and Confidence in Him on the Field:

“Absolutely! With us especially with all of our receivers, we all want the ball on 4th down and in crucial situations. Eli has trust in all of us and our job to give him the opportunity to put us in situations to be successful."

On the Commrodery of the Wide Receivers this season:

"It doesn’t get any closer then this as we all have chains with the number three on the back. We all wore number three in college so it is all very important to us. Yeah, we are all very tight!"

Giants on Going to London:

Victor Cruz: "I am excited about it. I am excited to go out there and play a little football. I got to go out and meet some of the fans out there – earlier in July when I went out to do some promo for the league and they are excited. They are excited about football. Obviously there are Giants fans out there, but they are excited about football in general. You see jerseys, we are going to see all 32 teams represented at these games wearing different jerseys and different players, so it is good to broaden our fan base and extend our reach out to London."

Jason Pierre Paul: "You don’t really know how your body is going to react to it. Whether or not the players are going to get jet lagged or what. I’ll be ready to go."

Eli Manning: "I am excited. I am excited to go over there. It has been a while. It has been almost 10 years since I last went over there, but I had a great experience the first time, so I am looking forward to going back and playing against a good Rams team. It is a work week. We are not over there for too long, so get over there and get ready to play a football game."

Coach McAdoo: "It’s going to be a little bit different at the end of the week, for sure. When we come to finalizing the plan on all three phases, a lot of that will be done on the plane or in London. We’ll have the foundation for everything set early. We just have to be smart."

Odell Beckham Jr: "I think it is going to be very welcoming. The love that they have for football over there – football, as in soccer, and what they are trying to do to integrate it into American football is pretty incredible what they are doing. I feel like it is going to be a very welcoming reception for both teams as well. I think they are excited about it and we are looking forward to the opportunity as well."
